I’m Amber, I am a mama to two (almost three) beautiful children, a soulful wife, a yoga and chair yoga instructor, movement & meditation enthusiast and live all things health and wellness related.

Growing up as an elite competitive figure skater, movement and expression through movement was an integral part of my life. I was 16 years old and training for the Olympics, I received financial support from a sponsorship. Unfortunately, I developed a serious back injury, and was forced to quit skating.

This all lead me on my healing journey, and yoga was vital in healing me physically, mentally and emotionally. For nearly the next 15 years I practiced various yoga techniques, and incorporated the eight limbs of yoga throughout my everyday life - my ways of being. Yoga truly saved my life many times, when I felt lost and disconnected from myself and the world I was living in.

In 2018 when I was at a crossroads in my career life, I was looking to transform my life significantly from the inside out! I had already massively transformed spiritually, through finding a master teacher at “The Centre for Transformstion” and heavily diving deep into a meditation practice for 4 years.

What I learned through the journey I had embarked on, was my former career life of 10 years was no longer in alignment with my true purpose in life. Things were very uncomfortable for me because I wasn’t living the truth I had acquired.

I decided to quit my corporate job, and enrolled into a 200HR Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher Training. It was the best and the scariest decision I had ever made, which resulted in a massive identity shift within myself. Throughout the yoga teacher training, I found out I was pregnant and was thrilled to become a mama.

Once our daughter was born, I focused on motherhood an the transformation that was evidently happening within myself. In 2019 my husband, daughter and I decided to pack up our life in Canada and make a trip to Australia for a extended holiday, to become more acquainted with my husbands family. We didn’t intend to stay in Australia; however, the universe had other plans for us.

At the beginning of 2020 I started to teach yoga and began to hone my skills as an instructor and own my craft. Shortly thereafter, Covid came into the world and due to shutdowns I stopped teaching.

Since then, I became pregnant with our son and he was born in Australia. In 2022 I started to teach yoga again, consistently teaching to a small committed core group of yogis within our small town Temora in NSW. I’ve been teaching this core group of yogis for over 2 years now, and have added classes and techniques to my techniques.

I started teaching chair yoga in August 2023 which was received extremely quickly and grew from 20 students to over 60 students in 4 months. I now teach 3 classes weekly to over 60 chair yoga students. I have received countless testimonials of how chair yoga has impacted their lives significantly since attending my
classes.

This has all inspired me to build an online community of global chair yogis and extend these incredible benefits to a broader audience and transform their lives.
